Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Policy explains what the App does with information about you. Most of what the App holds — your drives, saved places, contacts and settings — stays on your device and is never uploaded. Three things are different, and this Policy is mostly about them: the assistant sends your question to our server to answer it, a small set of measurement services tells us which advertising brought people to the App, and purchases are handled by the App Store.

Company information

The App is provided by GREEN FOKUS DOO ("we", "us"), which acts as the data controller for the processing described below. Contact: support@greenfokus.services.

Information kept on your device

The following is stored in the App's own storage on your device, is not uploaded to us, and is removed when you delete the App.

The assistant

The assistant is the one feature of the App that sends what you write to a server of ours. It is optional: the App works without ever opening it.

When you ask a question, the following is sent over HTTPS to our backend at sputnik.carplay.it.com: the text of your question, the photo you attached if you attached one, the language the answer should be written in, whether you use kilometres or miles, and the body type you picked for your car. The request also carries an identifier that our server knows this installation by. It is generated by the App, is not derived from your device or your Apple Account, identifies no person, and is stored in the device Keychain — which means it survives reinstalling the App, so that a free allowance cannot be reset by deleting and installing again.

Your question and your photo are processed to produce the answer and are not stored on our server afterwards. We do not use them to advertise to you, we do not sell them, and they are not shared with the measurement services described below.

The camera permission exists only for this: taking a picture of a dashboard light or a part to attach to a question. You can also pick an existing photo instead, and you can ask questions without any photo at all.

Advertising measurement and analytics

The App includes services that tell us how it is used and which advertising campaign a new installation came from. This is what the tracking prompt on first launch is about.

The events these services receive describe what happened in the App, not what you wrote or drove: a screen was opened, a plan was selected, a purchase completed, a station started playing. They do not carry your location, your routes, your contacts, your music, or anything you asked the assistant.

Tracking, and what your answer changes

On first launch iOS asks whether the App may track you across other companies' apps and websites.

If you allow it, the App may read your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and send it to the services above, which is what lets an installation be matched to an advertisement you saw elsewhere. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not available to the App and no such matching is possible; the App continues to work in exactly the same way, and measurement continues on the basis of the App's own installation identifiers only. You can change the answer at any time in the iOS Settings app.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers.

Other things that leave your device

Permissions you can withdraw

Location, camera, media library and tracking permissions can be changed at any time in the iOS Settings app under the App's entry. Withdrawing a permission disables the feature that needs it and nothing else.

Security and retention

Everything held on the device sits in the App's own storage under the protection iOS gives it, including device encryption when a passcode is set, and the installation identity sits in the Keychain. Requests to our servers travel over HTTPS.

What is kept on the device is kept until you delete it in the App or delete the App itself. Assistant questions and photos are not retained on our server after the answer is produced. Purchase and attribution records held by our measurement backend and by the services listed above are kept for as long as those services need them to report on a campaign, under their own retention rules.

Your rights

You can access, correct and delete everything held on the device directly in the App: its own screens let you remove drives, saved places, contacts, imported sounds and assistant conversations, and deleting the App removes all of it at once.

For the records described under advertising measurement, write to support@greenfokus.services and we will act on a request for access, correction, deletion or portability. Declining the tracking prompt, or resetting the advertising identifier in iOS Settings, stops that identifier being usable in the future. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children and we do not knowingly process information about them.

Third-party links

The App can open the iOS Settings app, the App Store, the Music app and the system phone dialler. Those are Apple's, and their own terms and policies apply once you are there. A link that reached you from an advertising campaign may also open the App directly.

International transfers

Our servers and the services listed above may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens for people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it is done under the safeguards those services provide, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Requests to Apple Maps and the App Store are handled by Apple under Apple's own safeguards.

Updates to this Policy

If the App starts collecting something it does not collect today, this Policy is updated first and the date at the top changes with it.
